A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is submitted to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. When a visitor contacts us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services create routine logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to operate the service and understand use of its pages. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
The limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual reader profiles.
External Services
Links may lead to Rice County and Minnesota portals, library collections, archives, or third-party search tools. The privacy terms of the destination control any information submitted there. That includes sponsored results supplied by an outside company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the service process its server logs. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed only when valid legal process requires it.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for as long as the stated purposes need them. No user account, password, or profile is created here.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data a website holds. Because this service retains very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs, then removing material that can be removed. Use the Contact page to ask. Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. ch. 13, including ยง13.03, addresses public data held by government entities; records held by Minnesota, Rice County, or Faribault offices remain under the control of their custodians.
