1. Nature of the Service
Faribault Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections connected with Faribault, Minnesota. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a custodian, court, or agency.
2. Acceptable Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information found through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make a decision the FCRA regulates, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reports
This service is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither its content nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. Neither may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, operate under their own policies and terms. We do not control their content, price, availability, or data handling.
5. No Warranties
The service is supplied "as is" and "as available" without warranties. We do not promise that its content is complete, accurate, or current, or that an external portal will work or return correct results.
6. Limit of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages resulting from use of this service or a linked resource, including decisions based on records found through it.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the service operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and brief attributed quotations are permitted, but full-page republication and systematic copying are not.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may post updated terms here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance.
10. Access Restrictions
We may block or restrict access, without notice and in our discretion, for a user who abuses the service or violates these terms.
11. Minnesota Law
Minnesota law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. ch. 13, including §13.03, governs access to public government data and does not make this private reference service a government custodian.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
